Who I am
For over 12 years I have been working within the school system as well as in a residential and outpatient therapeutic treatment facility. My focus is working with children, adolescents, and their families to improve their skills
in navigating through life's challenges, transitions and daily stressors. I also assist people who are feeling depressed, sad, anxious, or dealing with relationship concerns. Together we develop skills to increase self esteem, coping abilities, individual resiliency and family communication.
Having extensive experience and training in experiential, humanistic, psychodynamic, and existential psychotherapy, I will work with you to create an authentic atmosphere to solve the issues that are creating difficulty. Together we will facilitate exploration of your experiences and build a more comfortable path for your life.
I graduated from George Washington University with my B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling. I have been trained additionally for ten years in psychoanalytic and experiential theory. I became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in 2001.
People often feel there is a stigma asking for help. Consider your call to me to be a healthy step toward making your life and your family’s lives less anxious and more comfortable.
